We are looking for a Construction Project Manager with proven commercial experience who seeks the challenge and opportunities of working for a leading blue chip organisation.
Location: Rotherham but with travel to Customer sites. Completive salary + car / pension / bonus / 25 days holiday.
To build, develop and support a team to carry out the delivery responsibilities required to meet the criteria of a Tier One Frame Work supplier of EaWR & DSEAR for both the Inspection, Testing & Remediation of the Electrical Systems.
The role responsibility is to provide cost effective project management and timely solutions in line with the client’s requirement and in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015. Support the design team (Principal Designer) with the collation of pre-construction information and H&S Files. Support the growth of a positive and strong Health, Safety and Environment culture throughout the Centrica Group by implementing processes to develop, monitor and report continuous improvement.
The role will also include communication with the Client, Specialist Sub-contractors and the directly employed site delivery management team, Inspectors and Remedial Electricians in order to ensure safety and compliant activities are carried out.
Manage all civil works within the contract from design, quotation through to completion and ensure that they are built in accordance with relevant specification and any modifications are recorded and issued to the client on completion.
Co-ordinate and support the client’s commercial calendar, updating programmes, forecasting monthly cost to completes and the submission of early warnings. Dealing with queries via telephone from the client and site engineers, and wherever necessary to visit site in order to clarify.
Manage, coach and conduct performance and objective appraisals (IDP) for direct reports to facilitate their development ensuring that systems are in place to measure progress and verify that the companies and individuals aspirations are being achieved.
Represent the company in project meetings. Manage and maintain the communication channels to team members and customers.
Previous experience in delivering a multi faceted, fast paced contract to a major utility company would be a distinct advantage. The contract requires access to many sites following a defined workflow and proven gateway.
